1. To make an announcement/card.
2. To work with fine motor skills.
3. To create a finished product.

• heavy paper or construction paper
• felt pens or other markers
• glitter,stamps,stickers
• glue
• scissors

1. Cut heavy paper into 'announcement card' sized pieces.
2. Design the text of the announcement (eg. NEW BABIES!! .. Born on … Proud Parents .. the Grade 2 class …. ).
3. Make Birth Announcement cards and decorate them.
4. Present cards to students' parents, or other classes, or even pen pals.

This project can easily be adapted as a computer project. Simply use the computer to design the card!
