I went last year as well (I presented last year on gamification with Google).<\/p>\n<p>I always learn interesting, useful, and inspiring things. This time I plan to share a few of them.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-5396 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/minkhollow.ca\/beckerblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/snap02039-300x265.png\" alt=\"snap02039\" width=\"300\" height=\"265\" srcset=\"https:\/\/minkhollow.ca\/beckerblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/snap02039-300x265.png 300w, https:\/\/minkhollow.ca\/beckerblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/snap02039.png 864w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>This first one is about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/forms\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\">Google Forms<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Google Forms are a way to create questionnaire-type forms that can be shared online. The answers that are submitted are saved into a Google Spreadsheet, one row per submit.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve used them for the usual questionnaires, but I have also used them to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Create peer review forms that students can fill out during class while their peers are doing their presentations.<\/li>\n<li>Create game or required reading review or reflection forms. This allows the teacher to gather all of the responses in one place for easy assessment.<\/li>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-5398\" src=\"http:\/\/minkhollow.ca\/beckerblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/snap02040-284x300.png\" alt=\"snap02040\" width=\"284\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/minkhollow.ca\/beckerblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/snap02040-284x300.png 284w, https:\/\/minkhollow.ca\/beckerblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/snap02040.png 725w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 284px) 100vw, 284px\" \/>Create simple quizzes. They can even be automatically graded if you add formulas in the columns to the right of the last question that use the values entered from the form.<\/li>\n<li>Create a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stephenbrookfield.com\/Dr._Stephen_D._Brookfield\/Critical_Incident_Questionnaire_files\/CIQ.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Critical Incident Questionnaire<\/a> to gather feedback from you students on how things are going in the class.<\/li>\n<li>Create sign-up sheets for things like class resources, projects, and presentation times. By using the <a href=\"https:\/\/chrome.google.com\/webstore\/detail\/choice-eliminator\/mnhoinjhhhafgieggnhjekliaodnkigj\" target=\"_blank\">Choice Eliminator<\/a> Add-On you can even make choices disappear when they are full.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>They have made some things much easier to handle, thereby reducing the amount of time I have to spend doing admin stuff, which in turn gives me more time to help my students.<\/p>\n<p>p.s.
