These sorts of things seem to hang on quite tenaciously,\u00a0and <a href=\"http:\/\/wiredlearningdesigns.com\/everything-need-know-start-teaching-online\/\" target=\"_blank\">sometimes even gets perpetuated by experts in the field<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The learning styles thing is another. I&#8217;m not disputing that people have preferences, <a title=\"Skeptic \u00bb Insight \u00bb The Myth of Learning Styles\" href=\"http:\/\/minkhollow.ca\/beckerblog\/2014\/12\/23\/skeptic-insight-the-myth-of-learning-styles\/\" target=\"_blank\">but actual styles? Nope.<\/a>\u00a0And yet,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.academia.edu\/462837\/Games_and_Learning_Styles\" target=\"_blank\"> the paper I did on learning styles ten years ago<\/a>\u00a0is my second most popular paper on <a href=\"https:\/\/mtroyal.academia.edu\/KatrinBecker\" target=\"_blank\">academia.edu<\/a>.
