We dealt with this back in the early 90s when our oldest was in school. The city\u2019s school district planned to spend $1.3 billion putting iPads, preloaded with the Pearson curriculum, in the hands of every student in every school.<\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 14px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; outline: 0px; font-family: 'Exchange SSm 4r', Georgia, serif; font-size: 18px; vertical-align: baseline; color: #000000; line-height: 28px;\">Less than two years later, that ambitious plan now looks like a spectacularly foolish one.
