It picks up where the other left off, after I was driven out of my position at the University.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">It took a long time to come to terms with what was done to me. I think the fact that I was in the final stages of completing <a href=\"http:\/\/minkhollow.ca\/Thesis07\/doku.php?id=thesis:main\" target=\"_blank\">my PhD<\/a> kept me from completely falling apart &#8211; although in truth there were times before I quit when it was touch and go. I know this would please those who were happy to see me go, but they say happiness is the best revenge, and I can honestly say I am happier doing what I do now than I\u00a0think I would have been had I not been driven out.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I began to publish a lot more work after I left and now have a <a href=\"http:\/\/minkhollow.ca\/becker\/doku.php?id=publications\" target=\"_blank\">pretty solid publication record<\/a>. I even won an award as a grad student for my research\u00a0<em>from the very same university that drove me out.<\/em> How&#8217;s that for ironic? This is a university that claims to value research and innovation. I also started this blog.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve moved on. I don&#8217;t actually want to do &#8220;regular&#8221; computer science anymore.
