I&#8217;m not currently teaching so I thought I&#8217;d take the opportunity to move to the other side of the classroom again &#8211; I&#8217;ve enrolled in a Graduate Certificate Program in <a title=\"http:\/\/www.reg.msu.edu\/AcademicPrograms\/ProgramDetail.asp?Program=1497\" href=\"http:\/\/www.reg.msu.edu\/AcademicPrograms\/ProgramDetail.asp?Program=1497\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"new\">Serious Game Design and Research<\/a> at <a title=\"http:\/\/www.msu.edu\/\" href=\"http:\/\/www.msu.edu\/\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"new\">Michigan State University<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2727\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/minkhollow.ca\/beckerblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/2012-08-17_10-43-53c.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2727\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2727\" title=\"What I could be doing instead....\" src=\"http:\/\/minkhollow.ca\/beckerblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/2012-08-17_10-43-53c-300x258.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"258\" srcset=\"http:\/\/minkhollow.ca\/beckerblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/2012-08-17_10-43-53c-300x258.jpg 300w, http:\/\/minkhollow.ca\/beckerblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/2012-08-17_10-43-53c.jpg 892w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2727\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">What I could be doing instead&#8230;.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I&#8217;m taking the online version which of course requires a considerable amount of reflection-writing and other bits and pieces of communication. Now, I can&#8217;t tell you who&#8217;s in the class or share anything about them without their express permission of course, but I can post my own stuff publicly. It&#8217;s common in Education classes to require students to create blogs and to post a certain number of entries for marks. I&#8217;m not required to do that in this course, but I figured, what the hey? Why not?<\/p>\n<p>So, it is my intention to post my weekly reflections here as well as to submit them for marks. Maybe I can even talk some of my classmates into putting comments here, either as copies of the responses they contribute in class, or as side channel conversations.<\/p>\n<p>Anyhow, stay tuned.
